We Need You!

French Bulldog Second Chance Rescue isn’t able to exist without our amazing volunteers!   We are always in need of volunteers who can help with all the many different areas of the rescue.

Just a few of the areas we always need help with are:

- Transportation of dogs

- Home visits

- Shelter Pulls

- Fundraising, or assisting with organizing fundraising activities

- Working at FBSCR events, such as dog shows, expos, or other events either to highlight dogs          needing adopting or general education

- And last but not least: Fostering

If you’re interested in fostering, here are some things you need to consider:

FBSCR’s mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome French Bulldogs in need.  French Bulldogs are surrendered to our rescue for many different reasons, and all of our foster dogs are fostered in our volunteers’ private homes.
Because we are known for taking in French Bulldogs that might be unable to find a place within other rescues, we are especially in need of foster homes that have experience with or willingness to learn how to manage dogs with medical issues & behavioral issues, including dog aggression, human aggression, and resource guarding.
We ask that our foster homes cover the costs of day to day needs for their foster dogs. For example: food, toys, collar, leash, harness, etc.
Medical costs incurred by foster dog(s) will be covered by FBSCR.
We do not let our foster homes adopt their own first foster dog, except by special permission of the Board of Directors.

If you’ve never fostered before, don’t worry– we have people who can help you every step of the way.  And yes, you will probably fall in love with your temporary visitor!  It is quite normal for foster families to love with the dogs that are in their homes.

Our foster homes are also involved in the forever home selection process and are expected to help interview potential adoptive homes to ensure the best possible match is made between the foster dog and prospective adoptive home.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer for FBSCR, and especially if you have the time and extra space in your home to foster one of our dogs, please click here to fill out a volunteer application! For additional questions please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at:

If you’re not able to volunteer, please consider sponsoring one of our foster dogs, or donating to FBSCR!  We are funded solely by private donations.  Without donations, we would not be able to take in and help French Bulldogs who need us.  Please, help us continue helping French Bulldogs in need!
